Specialist developer, Beechcroft, takes care to select the very best locations for its retirement communities – and the lifestyle publication, ‘Muddy Stilettos’ has just proved that this is certainly the case. A number of locations chosen by Beechcroft top the lists of the ‘Best Places to Live in 2023’ as voted for by the readers of ‘Muddy Stilettos.’
Wallingford, selected as the top location to live in Oxfordshire, is described as ‘a characterful riverside town with a burgeoning foodie scene, indie shopping and the market town essential – Waitrose.’
Wallingford is also considered to have shopping that’s ‘quirky and independent-focused,’ a restaurant scene ‘buzzing with gastro options galore’ and a lively cultural scene. Beechcroft’s previous Wallingford developments proved popular and the company will be launching a new retirement community of just 23 two-bedroom apartments in early 2024. Other locations voted into the top 10 ‘Best Places to Live’ in Oxfordshire include Burford, home to Beechcroft’s Cotswold Gate and Watlington, the location of the company’s Castle Gardens.
Tunbridge Wells appears in third place on the ‘Best Places To Live In Kent’ listings.
Muddy Stilettos heralded the town’s ‘growing reputation as a foodie destination with stunning scenery all around and decent train links to London.’
Following the success of its previous development in Tunbridge Wells, Beechcroft is turning its attention to Montier Place, a collection of 40 one and two-bedroom apartments overlooking Tunbridge Wells Common, scheduled for launch in early 2024.
Windsor, ‘a world-famous address with oodles of history and the most multi-millionaires outside of London,’ appears in second place on the list of the Best Places to Live In Berkshire.
You don’t need to be a multi-millionaire to own a home at Pinewood Place, Beechcroft’s gated retirement development of 29 new homes, located just off Hatch Lane within easy reach of Windsor’s town centre.
Those who are living in Windsor or have close connections with the town are able to take advantage of discounted market sale apartments at Bramley House, Pinewood Place, with prices starting from just £350,000.
Surrey has an abundance of beautiful, vibrant towns and villages – one of which is Reigate which took the number 4 spot in the Best Places to Live in Surrey.
The publication describes Reigate as a “..thriving and affluent market town with a high street chock full of independent shops and restaurants and, still an easy commute to the capital.’
Reigate has also been chosen as one of the Best Places to Live in 2023 by ‘The Times.’ Beechcroft’s Fonthill Place, located on Reigate Road, is a collection of new and converted two and three-bedroom apartments, set within mature, landscaped, walled gardens within easy reach of the town centre.
Another of Beechcroft’s retirement developments located in a one of the top places to live is Redclyffe Place in Harpenden – a town which takes fifth place in the list of Best Places to Live in Hertfordshire.
Harpenden, according to the magazine, is a ‘lovely town built for those who enjoy the finer things in life… packed with great pubs, restaurants and independent shops.”
At Redclyffe Place, retirement home buyers will find just 9 new homes including 4 three-bedroom houses and 5 one, two and three-bedroom apartments with private terraces, gardens or balconies. Three of the new homes have been created within a listed property and six are newly constructed homes designed to complement the period property.
