The launch of Binfield House brought a ray of sunshine to retirement developer, Beechcroft. Despite the rain, Beechcroft’s sales team opened the doors to the sales office to find a queue of prospective home buyers keen to view the new show homes.
“By 11 am on the morning of the launch, there was a queue of people waiting to view the new show homes – despite the fact that it was raining,” comments Angela South, Sales & Marketing Director for Beechcroft.
“Prospective home buyers continued to arrive throughout the day and all were extremely impressed by the new show homes and the properties on offer. By the end of the day, we had reserved one of our new build houses and three of the apartments in the converted manor house - and there is considerable interest in the other properties.”
Located on Terrace Road North, in the Wicks Green Conservation Area of Binfield in Berkshire, the new development comprises 18 new homes including one and two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom houses, designed exclusively for the over 55s. Nine of the apartments are the result of Beechcroft’s careful conversion of the Grade II listed manor house and nine are new-build houses.
Each of the elegant houses and most of the apartments at Binfield House have either a terrace, balcony or private garden or a combination of these as well as access to three acres of mature, beautifully landscaped, communal gardens. An Estate Manager will handle the day-to-day administration of the development including organising the cleaning and maintenance of the communal areas and the upkeep of both private and communal gardens. The Manager will also be on hand to offer help and advice to residents, if needed, and to keep an eye on properties whilst owners are away.
Located just ½ mile from the centre of Binfield, Binfield House has a long and fascinating history.
Built in 1776, the house was owned by Pembroke College, Oxford from 1843 to 1928 when it was sold to Major-General Sir Alfred Knox. Prior to being elected as an MP for Wycombe in 1924, Sir Alfred served in the British Army in India and was appointed the British Military Attaché in Russia.
Beechcroft’s restoration and conversion of the house and gardens will result in a collection of unique homes with fixtures and fittings of the highest standard.
Designed for the over 55s, both new and converted homes feature elegant kitchens with bespoke cabinets and a full range of top-brand appliances, bathrooms with vanity units and fitted mirrors, wardrobes to the main bedrooms and flooring – including carpeting, throughout. Allocated parking is provided – and there are good local transport links.
For further information on available properties, priced from £465,000 please contact the Beechcroft sales team on 01344 941084, or enquire by clicking on the development below.
